The delegation of the CWM/Nethersole Fund, including Trustees, Rev. Wong Ka Fai and Rev. Ng Ka Chung, Janet, together with two staff accepted the invitation of their partner organization, Christian Action ("CA"), to participate in the “30 Years of Service in Qinghai - Qinghai Journey”.
During the seven-day itinerary, the delegation attended the Donors Appreciation Presentation and the Conference on Qinghai’s Service, which were co-organized by CA and the Qinghai Children's Welfare Association. At the appreciation presentation, Mrs. Cheung Ang Siew Mei, JP, Executive Director of CA, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to supporters and donors from all sectors. The Fund’s Trustee, Rev. Wong Ka Fai also delivered a speech, expressing profound admiration for CA’s staff. He commended their 30 years of unwavering devotion to Qinghai’s children, highlighting how their professional and loving service model has brought genuine, life-changing transformation to these young lives.
The subsequent conference not only reviewed their service achievements but also jointly explored future directions for service development. The Fund’s Trustee Rev. Ng Ka Chung Janet, along with several local guests, gave profound responses and extended their warmest wishes. The heartfelt sharing of CA staff, former employees, and service beneficiaries deeply moved the participants, allowing everyone to witness how the services have transformed individual lives, and testifying to the outstanding contributions of CA's work to the welfare of orphaned and disabled children in Qinghai.
In addition, the delegation travelled to Datong County, Jianzha County, and Tongren City to visit several subsidized projects of the Fund, which included the Xining Children's Home and Children's Rehabilitation Center, the Heart-to-Heart Home, and the Bridge Programme. Beyond these sites, they toured local facilities including a Tibetan medicine hospital, a caring home for children, and a community service centre, and enjoyed a warm gathering with over 20 Qinghai youth who received scholarships sponsored by CA donors.
